It’s my turn. On last Thursday, Sandra picked me, and although she asked if I wanted to be the next, what could I say?. Only yes.
We started the week, as usual, on Tuesday. The first thing that we did was to correct exercises that she had set us on the Thursday before. These were to give the correct verb forms. This time has been more complicated because there were many possibilities, unlike other times when there were only one or two possibilities.
Then we started a listening about marriage of convenience. Like all the listening, I found it quite difficult because I need more practice with the ear.
Finally, we worked on marriages of convenience, we did four couples, two marriages and two immigration policemen. As there weren’t enough women, Miquel had to play the woman. In my case, I was the husband of the couple. We didn’t have much time to prepare, but we didn’t do too bad when our pair of interrogators had doubts about whether we were a marriage of convenience or not.
We finished the class with an exercise for the next day in which we must place the alphabet letter corresponding to a sentence in the correct place on a letter.
On Thursday 26th, we corrected the letter (application letter). The problem was that if you made a mistake at first place in a box, all the others were already displaced and didn’t match any.
Then she handed us some notes, each with a character with its features. She gave a male character to the men and a female character to the women. Based on some series of questions, we had to deduce who our ideal partner would be.
We finished the class with a quiz of irregular verbs, which Group B won by a margin of only one hit.
Nothing more. I hope not to give Sandra a lot of work editing this text.
